Help Us, Help You Knowledge is Medicine
With diabetes, your body doesn't make enough insulin or can't use it as well as it should. When there isn't enough insulin, we stop responding to insulin, and too much blood sugar stays in our bloodstream. Over time, that can cause serious health problems, such as heart disease, vision loss, and kidney disease.
Where We Work
Just as Talki took care of one, we strive to take care of many — building awareness, fostering community, and empowering lives with knowledge and hope.
Our Vision
We envision a South Georgia where education is the medicine — empowering communities to understand, prevent, and live stronger with diabetes.
Our Aim
Via our 912 Diabetes Initiative in south coastal Georgia we aspire to directly impact those requiring insulin in economically disadvantaged communities and work with compassion, courage, equality, and passion.
